After 5 years of aging in oak barrels in the purest tradition of old HSE rums, this extra old agricultural rum has benefited from a finish in KILCHOMAN whisky barrels, Islay Single Malt for 4 to 5 months.
The nose transports us into a world of peated and smoky notes that are enriched with aromas of tropical fruits, candied oranges and blond tobacco. The balanced palate and of a very beautiful amplitude asserts itself on the peaty notes characteristic of Islay whiskies. The finish is enhanced with aromas of rare spices and fruit to alcohol.
