Double Malt Whisky is crafted from a selection of the Archie Rose Single Malt Whisky (eight-time winner of Australia’s Best Single Malt) matured in Australian apera, sherry and bourbon casks and Rye Malt Whisky (four-time winner of World’s Best Rye) matured in virgin American oak casks, then married together using a solera system.
Archie Rose Double Malt Whisky showcases the bright, grassy fruitiness of malted rye backed up by rich aromas of Aussie fortified wine, vanilla from American oak and the smooth sweetness of local malted barley. The result is a remarkably complex whisky with notes of apricot jam smeared on toasted rye bread, fragrant oak and a hint of milk chocolate, finishing with honey-roasted macadamia nuts, ripe tropical fruits and baking spices.
