Amrut Single Malt Whisky is produced from carefully selected Indian barley grown at the feet of the Himalayas.
Initial maturation in a combination of ex-bourbon and new American oak casks, followed by maturation in sherry casks before returning to ex-bourbon casks for its final influence – giving the name ‘Intermediate Sherry’ with sherry casks as the intermediary.
Nose – Moist cake, fruity and spicy. complex and multi-layered.
Palate – Oak-based. Notes of sultanas, spice, liquorice, orange and honeycomb.
Finish – Long and elegant.
