Made by distilling the pure juice of sugar cane harvested solely from the foot of Mount Pelée, Depaz Cuvée de la Montagne is the result of unique expertise.
Enjoying a long fermentation, a very slow reduction in fractions lasting for at least 60 days, and a long maturation period of at least three months in inox tanks to let the spirit settle before bottling, this Cuvée de la Montagne develops an exceptional wealth of aromas.
Nose – A complex, fruity and floral white rhum with a mineral touch specific to sugar cane which has grown in the volcanic rock found on the slopes of Mount Pelée.
Palate – Light to begin before flavours of soft, sweet fruit develop with an elegant floral touch. This is followed by a blend of sugar cane, orange blossom and banana notes paired with spicy touches of pepper and tobacco.
